An Oklahoma judge sentenced a former nursing home aide to a six-year prison sentence for scalding two residents of a nursing home. She was charged with two counts of neglect. At Ridgewood Care Center nursing home in Racine, Wisconsin, an 85-year-old man suffered such terrible damage to his ear that it required 19 stitches to repair his torn ear cartilage. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services imposed fines on a Lewis County Nursing Facility as a result of resident-on-resident sexual abuse and deficiencies in the quality of care, nutrition and errors in medication.
