Vicious Dog Is on the Loose

No doubt, when you own a dog you become very attached to your pet. The dog is a member of the family and the thought of any harm coming to your dog is difficult to even think about. This may be the case for dog owner Pamela E. Thomas.

Although unprovoked, her dog Duke bit two people, he was then classified as vicious and was ordered to be put down or turned into a safe house for the safety of the community.

It appears that Duke is in hiding and is currently being sought by authorities. Hans Uthe, assistant district attorney for El Dorado County, said the dog, a Fila Brasileiro named "Duke," bit two people, including a 6-year-old boy in July. "We feel this dog represents a significant risk to the community, Uthe said.

Ms. Thomas had been ordered, by an El Dorado County Superior Court judge, to either turn the dog over or put the dog to sleep. It appears that somehow the owner, Pamela E. Thomas was able to get the dog back from a safe house. Anyone with information is being asked to come forward.
