Certain dogs are believed to be aggressive by some. In fact, many insurance companies will not insure a home if one or more of a list of dogs known to be aggressive are present in the home or on the property.

I can certainly understand why that action was taken by the father. A recent blog on the Owen, Patterson & Owen site reported a tragic story of a 3- year-old boy who was attacked by his grandfather's pit bull. The same dog had bitten another child two years earlier, but was set free and attacked again. The second time the pit bull attacked, he was merely quarantined for 14 days. Animal control said the 14 day quarinteen was a precaution. Precaution! Are they kidding. How many demonstrations of a dog having a propensity to bite are needed.
