FDA Warning - Tainted Pet Food Still on Shelves

You may have heard that the recall continues to widen due to the fact that the manufacturer received news from the Food and Drug Administration confirming test results from the University of California, Davis. The lab found cat food that contains malamine, which is a chemical that is used as a fertilizer and is also used to manufacturer cutlery.

Although the pet food recall began almost a month ago, it has recently been observed by the Food and Drug Administration that not all retailers across the country have removed the recalled pet food from their shelves. It is difficult to believe that with all of the press about the unfortunate animals becoming seriously ill and/or dying, they would be so thoughtless as to continue to leave the tainted product available for the next victim to purchase. A consumer who may not be familiar with every one of the 100 plus brands of pet food that have been recalled to date, may be relying on the retailer to keep poisoned food off the shelves. Come on retailers nationwide, plug in.
