Another Defective Product from China

Imagine the shock parents will get to find out that a toy their child has been playing with has been recalled due to the use of poisonous lead paint. Well, that is exactly what has happened. The Consumer Product Safety Commission and RC2 Corporation have recalled 1.5 million "Thomas & Friends" wooden railway toys. The toys are being recalled due to the poisonous paint used. To date, no injuries have been reported. The company also stated that toys containing the codes "WJ" or "AZ" are not part of this recall.

The toys in questions were imported from China. China seems to be popping up a lot with respect to defective products and product recalls. Of late, China is at the heart of the pet food recall, recalled toothpaste tainted with a poison and the latest - poisonous toys. You know, you might think you are saving a few dollars here and there on some imports, but in the end it seems you pay one way or another. And it may be more costly than you originally anticipated.
